New Year's Day, U2's song about the Polish Solidarity movement, is especially played for its home audience. As the band play it, the audience becomes awash with red and white to make the colours of Poland's flag. Furthermore, Edge's birthday is in two days, and since there is no show on the 08/08, Bono takes the opportunity to sing tribute to him at this concert.

A segunda parte europeia da U2 360 ° Tour começa, em Turim, marcando o primeiro show desde a recuperação da lesão nas costas de Bono. Mais duas músicas fazem a sua estreia na turnê neste show: Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me é tocada pela primeira vez desde 21 de março de 1998; e Miss Sarajevo, que é tocada pela primeira vez desde 9 de dezembro de 2006. Feliz aniversario foi cantado antes de I Still Haven't Found para The Edge.
The second European leg of the U2 360° Tour starts in Turin, it marks their first performance since Bono recovered from his back injury. This concert features the debuts of three unreleased pieces of music: a new live intro called Return Of The Stingray Guitar and two complete new songs, North Star and Glastonbury. Two more songs make their tour debuts at this gig: Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me is performed for the first time since 21 March 1998; Miss Sarajevo is performed for the first time since 9 December 2006.
