É conhecido que o U2 fez testes de som com "Red Hill Mining Town" várias vezes no final de 1987, já que consideravam tocá-la para ser filmada para o filme Rattle And Hum no final de dezembro. Esse plano nunca se concretizou, e este show é a única data precisa na turnê do álbum "The Joshua Tree" em que é confirmado que "Red Hill Mining Town" foi testada. A música finalmente estreou ao vivo em 12 de maio de 2017.

U2 are known to have soundchecked Red Hill Mining Town multiple times in late 1987, as they considered performing it to be filmed for Rattle And Hum in late December. This plan never came to fruition, and this show is the only precise date on the Joshua Tree Tour at which it is currently confirmed that Red Hill Mining Town was soundchecked. It finally debuted live on 12 May 2017.

Bono aparece com a Metropole Orchestra para cantar One em honra do fotógrafo holandês Anton Corbijn, que já trabalhou com U2 muitas vezes ao longo dos anos. Corbijn foi premiado com o Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Prijs 2011. Bono também recitou Get Lost do artista holandês Herman Brood, que faleceu em 2001.

Bono appears with the Metropole Orchestra to perform One in honour of Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn, who has worked with U2 many times over the years. Chris Martin toca piano durante One for My Baby enquanto o ator Sean Penn retrata um barman para o qual Bono está cantando, eles são acompanhados por uma pequena orquestra. If We Don't Help People With AIDS, We're Going To Hell é cantado por todos os convidados do show. Ambas as músicas são tocadas duas vezes, mas apenas uma tomada de cada é exibida.

Bono appears for the third time on Jimmy Kimmel's live (RED) show for World AIDS Day, on 1 December. Barack Obama appears by video during the interview segment. Chris Martin plays piano during One for My Baby while actor Sean Penn portrays a bartender who Bono is singing to, and they are accompanied by a small string section.
